Introduction to AN-ACC

This module has been developed for nurses and support workers in residential aged care, to support the introduction of the Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC). It explains to learners the reasons behind the change to the new model and the benefits to aged care residents and staff. 

A basic outline of the new funding is provided, including new incentives for staff to aim for reablement of residents and rewards for good quality of care. The qualifications and roles of AN-ACC Assessors are explained, along with the requirements for both residential and external staff when assessors are present.
