By the end of this module, you will be better able to:
- Access and follow policies and procedures related to complex wound care and infection control
- Create a safe environment for wound care, ensuring hygiene and infection control practices are in place
- Demonstrate knowledge of different wound types, classifications, dressings, and equipment used in complex wound management
- Involve the participant in their care, respecting their preferences and capacity to engage in their treatment
- Communicate effectively with the participant using their preferred methods, aids, or devices
- Ensure wound management support aligns with the participant's needs, preferences, and support plan
This module offers an introduction to the theory. It is advised that the learner complement this with a practical demonstration.
