Pandemic Prevention: Preventing the Spread of Infectious Conditions (Residential Aged Care)

Does an illness seem to be spreading rapidly throughout your organisation? Would you be prepared if one was? This course focuses on enhanced precautions, which are transmission-based precautions for highly pathogenic infectious organisms. Enhanced precautions require additional types of personal protective equipment (PPE) which build on what you are already familiar with, to prevent the transmission of disease.
This course teaches the most recent evidence-based updates on hand washing and infection prevention techniques. This course is aimed at care staff who are consumer care facing and support persons who interact with consumers within Aged Care.
