Risk management is the process of identifying potential hazards and establishing procedures for preventing or minimising the harm that could arise from those hazards.
A hazard is an object, element, situation or environment that have the potential to cause harm. Managing risk is part of governance and leadership and is fundamental to how the aged care service organisation is managed at all levels.
